Abstract:
Life began on earth around 3.5 billion year ago it is believed that the earliest known human is Homo habilis who had emerged around 2 million years ago in Africa. Eventually by evolving human formed a vast civilization or a society in an advanced state of social development with complex legal, political and religious development. They started believing in divine power; a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny hence religion come into existence, some become monotheist, polytheist while many remains atheist. According to different scholar, it is believed that Hinduism is the world’s oldest religion with lots of customs dating back more than 4000 year ago with an estimated 18 billion followers worldwide Islam become the second most widely practiced religion. In Islam spread by the prophet Muhammad. Women had been given very respectful, specific, incomparable and unique lives in both the Hinduism and Islam. Some of the other well-known religions are Christianity, Sikhism, Jainism, Buddhism and many more.
