Abstract:
The Paper talks about the Section 295-A as a weapon against OTT platform. Religion in India is a very complex subject. Section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) states that “anyone, with the intent and malicious intent to offend the religious sentiments of any class [citizen of India] [verbally, orally or in writing, or in sign] signs or expressions visible or otherwise], offending or attempting to offend the religion or religious beliefs of that class, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding [three years] or by fine or both.
